At some point in our lives we have or will have an unfortunate run-in with Red Wine. Its great to drink (if that’s your tipple), though it can be difficult to clean if spilled on a carpet. In this article we shall explore the natural options that are available.
The first thing that you would need to do as soon as possible once the wine has taken residence in your carpet is mop up the excess. Just make sure you dab. Do not under any circumstances rub the stain, it will only make it worse. You can then also add white wine and or salt to the stain to neutralise it and dab out the excess.
For the more intense stains try applying a thick paste of baking soda and water (about the consistency of wall paper paste) to the spillage. Wait for that to dry then hoover the excess. These few hints and tips should help you keep your carpet in good order, without the use of harmful chemicals or cleaning agents.

A brand new carpet can soon look old and tired if it is not well maintained, and this is needed in the early stages. Any drips or spills should not be left, and some carpet cleaning spray should be used as quickly as possible.
Vacuums should be used quickly for dry spills, while high traffic areas should always be well looked after, even when stains are not completely visible. Regular hovering and moving of furniture can ensure any dirt is cleaned up, and the cleaner you keep your audience the easier it will be to notice new stains and marks.
If you have a light coloured carpet then it will require a great deal more care and attention when it is new, especially if you want to maintain the bright colour and keep it in tip top shape.

Many people will opt against the idea of having a carpet in the bathroom, but carpets are now easier to clean than ever before, and it can be really nice to step onto a soft carpet rather than cold tiles.
Some people state that it is unhygienic to have a carpet in the bathroom because they absorb moisture, but if you have an extractor fan and regularly open the windows this will not be an issue. Carpets can be much cosier than tiles while there are plenty of colours and designs to choose from, and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t opt to have a carpet fitted in your bathroom.
The same goes for W/C’s which are often located downstairs in a home, and carpets can be much more pleasant for guests, especially if you pick the right type.
